  • No Curry leaves?

    • 1 bay leaf + a pinch of lemon zest — Aroma only — flavor is unique.
  • No Garlic (fresh)?

    • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (per clove)
    • 1/2 tsp garlic granules (per clove)
  • No Onion?

    • 1 tbsp onion powder (per medium onion)
    • 3 tbsp dried minced onion
    • Shallots or leeks (1:1)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dosa

Heat a tawa (griddle) on a gas stove. Once hot, pour one ladle of dosa batter onto the center of the tawa.

Step 2: Spread the Batter

Using the back of the ladle, quickly spread the batter in a circular motion from the center outwards to form a thin, round dosa.

Step 3: Add Toppings

While the dosa is cooking, sprinkle a few fresh curry leaves and a pinch of chopped onions or garlic over the surface of the dosa.

Step 4: Sprinkle Sambhar Masala

Generously sprinkle 1-2 teaspoons of Kunika Zest Sambhar Masala powder over the dosa, ensuring even distribution.

Step 5: Cook and Serve

Drizzle about 1 teaspoon of oil around the edges and over the dosa. Cook until the dosa turns golden brown and crispy. Once cooked, transfer the dosa to a plate and serve immediately with a side of sambhar and a cup of tea.
