Pour small ladles of dosa batter onto the hot pan to create mini dosa circles. You can make about 6-8 mini dosas at a time, depending on your pan size.
Immediately sprinkle 2 tablespoons of grated carrot, 2 tablespoons of finely chopped onion, and 1 finely chopped green chili (optional) over each mini dosa.
Cover the pan with a lid and steam for 5 minutes on medium heat until the dosas are cooked through and the toppings are slightly softened.
Remove the lid and carefully flip each mini dosa. Cook for another 3-5 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
Transfer the mini dosa bites to a serving plate. Top each dosa with a dollop of tomato sauce and serve hot with your favorite chutney.
