Mince and Cheese Omelette – Breakfast/Brunch

Ingredients

For the Omelette Mixture

  • 4Eggs
  • 2 tbspMilk
  • 1/4 tspSalt
  • 1/4 tspChilli Powder
  • 1/4 tspBlack Pepper
  • 2 tbspFresh Coriander (chopped)

For Cooking and Filling

  • 2 tbspCooking Oil
  • approx. 1/2 cupCooked Mince
  • as much as you likeCheddar & Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)

For Garnish and Serving

  • for garnishFresh Coriander (chopped)
  • for drizzlingSriracha Sauce
  • for servingBread or Paratha

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare the Egg Mixture

    In a measuring cup, combine 4 eggs, 2 tablespoons of milk, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of chilli powder, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh coriander. Whisk well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

  2. 2.Cook the Omelette Base

    Heat a pan over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. Once the oil is hot, pour the whisked egg mixture into the pan, spreading it evenly to form a round omelette.

  3. 3.Flip the Omelette

    Once the omelette has fried and set on one side (approximately 2-3 minutes), gently flip it over using a spatula to cook the other side.

  4. 4.Add Mince Filling

    On one half of the cooked omelette, place a generous amount of cooked mince.

  5. 5.Add Cheese

    Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the mince filling, as much as desired.

  6. 6.Fold and Melt Cheese

    Gently fold the other half of the omelette over the filling. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 1-2 minutes until the cheese has melted and the omelette is heated through.

  7. 7.Serve the Omelette

    Carefully slide the mince and cheese omelette onto a serving plate.

  8. 8.Garnish with Coriander

    Sprinkle fresh chopped coriander over the omelette for garnish.

  9. 9.Drizzle Sriracha Sauce

    Drizzle Sriracha sauce over the omelette for added flavor.
