Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Prepare the bread

    Take one slice of bread and spread some melted butter evenly on one side using a brush. Flip the bread slice over.

  2. 2.Create a depression

    Place a small bowl with a flat bottom onto the center of the bread slice and press down firmly to create a depression in the bread.

  3. 3.Butter the other side

    Spread melted butter all over the other side of the bread slice, ensuring it covers the entire surface.

  4. 4.Add egg and seasonings

    Carefully place the buttered bread slice into the air fryer basket. Crack one egg directly into the depression created in the bread. Season with salt, ground black pepper, red chili flakes (optional), and Italian seasoning (optional) to taste.

  5. 5.Air fry the toast

    Air fry the egg on toast at 190°C (370°F) for 8-9 minutes, or until the egg white is set and the yolk is cooked to your desired consistency. For a runny yolk, you may need to reduce the cooking time.

  6. 6.Serve

    Carefully remove the crisp and crunchy egg on toast from the air fryer and serve immediately.
