Follow each step to make the recipe successfully.
In a bowl, add 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (maida), 1.5 tablespoons cocoa powder, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Then, add 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
all the dry ingredients together thoroughly until well combined.
Add 3 tablespoons of oil to the dry mixture. Gradually add 1/2 cup of slightly warm milk, mixing continuously with a to form a smooth, lump-free batter.
Add a few drops of vanilla essence to the batter and mix it in using a spatula until fully incorporated.
Place a non-stick pan on the stove. Without turning on the flame, add a spoonful of the chocolate batter to the pan. Use a brush or spatula to spread the batter thinly and evenly into a circular shape. Now, turn the flame to very low and cook until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges start to dry.
Once the first side is cooked and the edges are dry, carefully flip the wafer using a spatula. Cook the other side on a very low flame until it becomes crispy. This step is crucial for achieving crispiness.
Immediately after cooking, while the wafer is still hot and in the pan, use a thin stick or a chopstick to roll it tightly into a cylindrical shape. If you let it cool, it will become brittle and break (as demonstrated in the video).
Repeat the cooking and rolling process for the remaining batter to create all the wafer rolls. Once cooled, fill each wafer roll with your favorite chocolate spread using a piping bag.
Arrange the filled wafer rolls and drizzle more chocolate spread on top for decoration. Your crispy chocolate wafer rolls are now ready to be enjoyed!
