Servings: 1 Preparation time:
  • Wheat Flour, Whole-grain, Wheat Flour 1 cup
  • Melted Ghee ½ cup
  • Brown Sugar, Powdered Sugar ½ cup
  • Milk, Producer, Warm, hot Milk ½ cup
  • Tutti Frutti ¼ cup
  • Aluminium Foil

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • Mix the whole wheat flour, sugar and tutti frutti in a bowl.
  • Start adding ghee and milk and make a mixture. Don't knead it too much.
  • Keep the dough in the refrigerator covered in a foil wrap (in shape of a log).
  • After 30 minutes take the dough out of the refrigerator.
  • Cut the dough it into pieces and place these on an idli stand.
  • Meanwhile, preheat the idli cooker with salt as a base.
  • Now place the stand, loaded with raw cookies, in idli cooker and cover with lid.
  • Let it bake for 10 minutes on a medium flame.
  • After 10 minutes, open the lid and flip the cookies, Cover the lid again let it bake for another 5 minutes on medium flame.
  • Turn off the flame and keep the cookies on a wired rack to cool down. The healthy, delicious Cookies are ready.

Cook's Tip:
To keep brown sugar moist, store in an airtight container with a whole orange, lemon, or lime.
To get really soft chapatis, the trick lies in the kneading. The more you knead, the smoother the dough becomes and the smoother the dough is, the softer the Chapatis. Another secret to soft Chapatis is using fresh yogurt or milk instead of water, to make the dough! When you're done kneading the dough and it is smooth, wet your hand with water and run it all over the surface of the ball of dough. Cover with a damp cloth and set aside for half an hour before using.
