Servings: 2 Preparation time:
  • Pizza Base, Pizza Dough
  • Mushrooms, White, Raw, Button mushroom 1 cup (Chopped) mushrooms
  • Walnut Oil, 1/2cup Walnuts
  • Olive Oil, Olive oil
  • Onions, Raw, Onion 1 Onion(chopped finely)
  • Garlic, Raw, Garlic flakes, Lahsun, grated garlic, Garlic pods 1 tsp (Minced) garlic
  • Tomatoes, Red, Ripe, Raw, Red Tomato 1 Tomato (chopped)
  • Tomato Paste, 1tbsp Tomato paste
  • Red Chili Powder, Paprika, Deggi Mirch, Red Chilli Powder, Red Chilly, Red Ch 1tsp Paprika
  • Cumin Powder, Jeera Powder,  NITU DIDIs cumin powder 1/2tsp Cumin powder
  • Red Chili Flakes, Chilli 1/4tsp Chili flakes
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt Salt

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • In a food processor, pulse the mushrooms and walnuts until coarsely chopped .
  • Preheat the oven to 400F.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large pan, add the onion and sauté until translucent.
  • Add the garlic, tomato, tomato paste, paprika, cumin powder, chili flakes and salt and cook for a while.
  • Add the mushroom-walnut paste and cook until the mixture turns dry.
  • Lahmacun, Turkish Pizza
  • Roll out your pizza dough to a thin oval shape, top with the mushroom-walnut topping, spreading it evenly as thin layer.
  • Transfer to a lined baking sheet and cook for 10-15 minutes until the dough turns brown and crispy.
  • Serve warm topped with tahini sauce.

Cook's Tip:
Immerse the egg in a pan of cool salted water. If it sinks, it is fresh; if it rises to the surface, it is certainly quite old.
Sprinkle some salt in a frying pan to prevent oil from splashing.
Garlic is used along with onion for making the base of the curries and other dishes
