Ingredients:
  • Rice Flour, White, Powder, Rice Flour Flour - 2 cups
  • Milk, Producer, Warm, hot Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Brown Sugar, Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Til Sesame Seed, Gingelly Sesame seeds (til) - 2 tbsp.
  • Ghee, Ghee - 4 tbsp.
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt Salt - 1/2 tsp.
  • Oil or Ghee for deep frying

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • 1. Warm milk . Add ghee and sugar and stir till well dissolved.
  • 2. Add this mixture to the flour and bind to a hard dough.
  • 3. Add sesame seeds and knead well. Divide the dough into large balls.
  • 4. Roll out on a board into thick rounds. Cut into small diamond shaped pieces.
  • (This can be done by cutting it horizontally into strips and then cut it across in a slanted fashion)
  • 5. Deep fry in hot oil till light brown in color.

Cook's Tip:
Tamarind is an excellent polish for brass and copper items. Rub a slab of wet tamarind with some salt sprinkled on it on the object to be polished.

Store brown sugar in an airtight container to keep it from hardening.

It will be easier to chop raisins if you sprinkle some flour over them so that they do not stick. Then cut with a small kitchen scissors.
