Sugar doughnut is a simple dessert which is available in most of the bakeries and a popular snack for all ages. Cinnamon and Vanila extract gives an excellent aroma mouth watering flavour which is favourite among kids. This can be prepared by either baking in a oven or deep frying in oil. Doughnut can be prepared with whole wheat flour which makes it a healthy snack. Try this recipe and Enjoy Cooking!!!

Servings: 2 Preparation time:
Ingredients:
  • Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Unenriched, Atta All purpose flour 250 gm
  • Egg, Whole, Raw, Anda Egg 1 no
  • Cinnamon, Ground, Cinamon, Dalchini, Cinnamon Powder, Cinnamon Sticks Cinnamon powder 1/2 tsp
  • Milk, Producer, Warm, hot Milk 115 ml
  • Brown Sugar, Sugar 100 gm
  • Melted butter 1 tbsp
  • Baking Soda, Powder, Cooking Soda, Soda Bi-carb Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Vanila extract 2 tsp

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • Mix flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon powder well.
  • Beat egg well. Add sugar, mix it well and add some butter and vanilla extract.
  • Add milk and flour slowly while continuously beating it well.
  • Knead the dough well for few minutes.
  • Make medium sized balls and roll it to 1/4 inch thick rounds.
  • Using a bottle lid cut in the center.
  • Preheat oven 400 degrees and bake till it doubles in size and turns into golden in color.
  • Remove from oven, brush with melted butter and dip the doughnut in granulated sugar.
  • Serve hot immediately for best taste.

Cook's Tip:
Storing flour in an airtight container and refrigerating it doubles their storage time.

You can freeze eggs. Crack and beat them and place them in an air tight container.

    It was bland. It didn't rise much. I used atta because the recipe said u could use that. But, no. I guess it only works with maida.
