Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • 1. Boil the minced meat and the gram dhal in 3 cups of water and salt.
  • 2. Cook until the meat is tender and all the liquid has completely evaporated.
  • 3.Grind the meat with, ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, red chilli
  • and pepper corns. [Check for salt]
  • 4. Mix the ground meat with slightly beaten eggs, chopped onion and minced green chillies.
  • 5. Take a tablespoon of the meat mixture and form into round flat kebabs and deep fry
  • in hot ghee.

Cook's Tip:
Prevent egg smell in cakes- To get rid of the smell of eggs in the cakes, add one tablespoon honey to the cake batter while beating it.
Add cardamom peels to the tea canister, instead of throwing them away. It will lend a very subtle flavour of cardamom to every cup of tea you brew!
Whole cinnamon sticks gives a spicy aroma to food. Whole sticks are used and later removed. Ground cinnamon are normally used in baking.
