Sabudana Ni sev (tapioca Noodles). By Pratibha Jani Includes Tips on how to use the traditional sev no sancho.(noodle maker) sabudana ni sev is made from mashed potatoes, tapioca and some nuts and spices Great recipe for fasting and and any time spicy crunchy snacks with Masala chai.


Servings: 3 Preparation time:
  • 1 cup Sabudana (tapioca /soaked in water)
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt Salt as per taste
  • Granulated Sugar, White Sugar (pinch of)
  • Lemon Juice, Raw, Lime Juice, Lemon Juice Lemon juice (as per taste)

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • First take the soaked tapioca in a bowl
  • Add salt, sugar and lemon juice
  • Mix altogether well and leave it for 5-6 minutes
  • The dough for the sev is ready
  • Take the noodle maker
  • Fill the tapioca dough in the noodle maker
  • Make very small pieces of sev with the tapioca dough and put them on a flat plate
  • Now put the plate with sev in the sun for couple of days to dry
  • When the sev are dried fully, store them in any air tight container and fry them as snack anytime
  • It will take few seconds to fry in microwave

Cook's Tip:
If you drop an egg on the floor, cover it with salt and let it remain like this for a couple of minutes. You will be able to easily clean the mess with a paper towel.
Add a dash of lemon juice into meatballs before cooking them
Measure dry ingredients like flour and sugar with dry measuring cups. Fill the cup and scrape a knife over the top to remove extra.
