Quick & easy way to prepare delicacy of cottage cheese ,taste yummy. Can be eaten as sandwich stuffing as side dish with chapati or as pizza topping. Normally cottage cheese is used to prepare shahi paneer, matar panner or kadai paneer that require efforts. Panner Bhurji requires less time and effort and gives completely different experience. So let’s start the recipe. Yum.


Servings: 2 Preparation time:
  • Ingredients:
  • Cottage Cheese, Lowfat, 2%, 1cup cottage cheese
  • Onions, Raw, Onion 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • Tomatoes, Red, Ripe, Raw, Red Tomato 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
  • Peppers, Hot Chili, Red, Raw, Red Chilies, Chillies, Dry Red Chillies, Chilly 2 teaspoon chopped green chilly
  • Spices:
  • Turmeric, Ground,powder, Haldi, Nitu Didi turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Red Chili Powder, Paprika, Deggi Mirch, Red Chilli Powder, Red Chilly, Red Ch 1/2 teaspoon red chilly powder
  • Garam Masala Powder, NITU DIDIs garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Dhania Powder , Coriander Powder, Corriander Powder, NITU DIDIS CORIANDER POWDER, Coriander Pd 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Cumin Powder, Jeera Powder,  NITU DIDIs cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt Salt to taste
  • Canola Oil, Vegetable Oil, Cooking 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Coriander Leaf Corriander, Cilantro Leaves, Green, Leaves, Parsley Leaves, Coriander (Few chopped) coriander leaves

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • Heat oil in a non stick pan ,add chopped onion and green chillies. Sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add all spices and salt and mix well.
  • Now add chopped tomatoes ,sauté till oil comes out. ( you can replace tomatoes with1 teaspoon dried mango powder).
  • Add smashed cottage cheese , mix with spices.Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer to serving bowl , add chopped coriander leaves.

Cook's Tip:
Homemade cottage cheese will remain fresh longer if you wrap it in blotting paper before refrigerating.
To preserve the colour of turmeric Apply a little ghee to the bottom and sides of the jar before storing.
Cut down on the amount of salt used on your food by adding lemon instead to enhance the flavor of the food.
