Servings: 2 Preparation time:
  • Nutella, 3tbsp Nutella
  • Plain Flour, Maida, Refined flour 3tbsp Maida (all purpose flour)
  • Brown Sugar, 3tbsp (castor) sugar
  • Cocoa Mix, Coco Powder, 3tbsp coco powder
  • Canola Oil, Vegetable Oil, Cooking 3tbsp oil
  • Milk, Producer, Warm, hot 3tbsp milk
  • Egg, Whole, Raw, Anda 1 egg
  • Baking Soda, Powder, Cooking Soda, Sodium Bicarbonate, Soda Bi-carb 1/2tsp baking powder
  • Water Boiled Plain Raw Mineral, Hot, Warm Cold, Mix, sparkling, Carbonated 3 (to 5) tsp (lukewarm) water (optional)

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • In a large mixing bowl add the egg, oil and milk. Whisk the ingredients till well combined.
  • Add all the dry ingredients ..maida, coco powder, cartor sugar and baking powder to the wet mixture whisk all the ingredients till well combined. Make sure thre are no lumps in the batter.
  • If the batter is thick lukewarm water can be added to achive right consistency.
  • Add the nutella and mix till well combined
  • Pour the batter into mugs and microwave for 2 to 3 minutes till done.
  • Garnish the mug cake with chocolate shaving or whipped cream .
  • Serve right away and enjoy.. :)

Cook's Tip:
Adding half of teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate in the milk while boiling will not spoil the milk even if you don't put it in the fridge.
Egg whites will stiffen wonderfully if you add a pinch of salt or cream of tatar before whisking.
When measuring wet ingredients like oil or milk, always place the measuring cup on the counter to ensure a level surface.
