Servings: 4 Preparation time:
  • 2 cups Mixed Grains
  • Rice, Brown, Medium-grain, Raw, Hulled Rice, Unmilled Rice 1 cup Brown rice
  • Rice, White, Short-grain, Raw, Plain 1 cup (Parboiled) rice
  • Urad Dal, White, Urad Dhall, Urad Dhal 1 cup Urad dal
  • Fenugreek Seed, Kasuri Methi, Kasoori Methi Dried, Menthya, Vendayam, Menthulu,uluva 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • Wash well and soak the both rices and mixed grains with enough water for 4 hours.
  • Soak the urad dal with fenugreek seeds separately for 4hours.
  • Drain the water from urad dal and grind it as fine paste.
  • Transfer the urad dal batter to a vessel and grind now the soaked mixed grains- rice mixture.
  • Grind them as bit coarse paste.
  • Now mix both the urad dal batter with rice-mixed grains batter, add salt and keep aside for overnite.
  • Multigrains Indian Dosa
  • After fermentation, give a stir.
  • Heat a nonstick tawa or a pan for making dosas, once the pan is hot, grease the pan with a paper towel and oil, drop a ladle of this batter and spread as a thin dosa.
  • Drizzle oil , flip and cook on both sides until the dosa turns crispy.
  • Serve warm with chutneys or idlipodi.

Cook's Tip:
for falling hair, soak fenugreek seeds overnight in water next day blend it and apply for ur hair.
Also adding a few drops of lemon juice to the rice while cooking, you will find that the grains of rice will tend to remain separate.
Do not add salt to ‘rajma’ and ‘urad dal’ while boiling. It will take half the time to boil when salt is subtracted.
