Ingredients:
  • Rice, White, Short-grain, Raw, Plain 1 Cup rice (Basmati rice optional)
  • Tomatoes, Red, Ripe, Raw, Red Tomato 3 medium tomatoes blanched and crushed
  • Onions, Raw, Onions 2 large onion chopped
  • Methi Leaves, Fenugreek Leaves 1 Cup fenugreek leaves (coarsely chopped)
  • Ginger Garlic Paste, 2 tsp ginger and garlic paste
  • Cinnamon, Ground, Cinamon, Dalchini, Cinnamon Powder, Cinnamon Sticks 1 piece cinnamon
  • Cloves, Ground, Clove, Lavang 3 cloves
  • Cardamom Powder, Cardamom Pd, Choti Elaichi, Cardamom, Cardamon, Elachi 3 cardamom
  • Bay Leaf, Tej Patta 1 bay leaf
  • Tomato Ketchup, 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • Red Chili Powder, Paprika, Deggi Mirch, Red Chilli Powder, Red Chilly, Red Ch 1 tsp chilly powder
  • Dhania Powder , Coriander Powder, Corriander Powder, NITU DIDIS CORIANDER POWDER, Coriander Pd 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Turmeric, Ground,powder, Haldi, Nitu Didi turmeric powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Milk, Producer, Warm, hot 1/2 cup milk
  • Canola Oil, Vegetable Oil, Cooking 3 tsp oil
  • Ghee, 1 tbsp ghee ( clarified butter)
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt 1 tbsp salt
  • Coriander Leaf Corriander, Cilantro Leaves, Green, Leaves, Parsley Leaves, Coriander 2 tbsp coriander
  • Lemons, Raw, With Peel, Lime, Lemon 1/2 lime

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • Step 1:-wash and soak rice for 10 mins.
  • Step 2:-Heat a wok add a tsp of oil and fry fenugreek leafs along with tamatoe ketchup and set aside.
  • Step 3:-Heat a pressure cooker add oil and ghee fry cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and bayleaf...add the onions fry add the tamatoe fry add the ginger and garlic paste fry...add the chilly powder, coriander powder and turmeric and fry allow the oil the leave the masala...add the rice fry for a second for (1 cup of rice i have added 1 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup milk) add the water and milk add salt...add the fried fenugreek leaves and cover for 4 mins or for 2 whistles.garnish with coriander and lime....serve hot hot with raita and boiled eggs...enjoy...:)

Cook's Tip:
Crisp brown onion -add salt in the beginning so that water will come out and onion will brown fast

To get tomato sauce out of the bottle don't hit the bottom or shake it vertically. Shake the bottle from side to side until you can see that the contents have started flowing (about 30 seconds)
