Ingredients:
  • Goat, Raw, Mutton Mutton, (cut into small pieces) 750 gms.
  • Ginger Garlic Paste, Ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp.
  • Kamut, Uncooked, Wheat Wheat, (soaked overnight, drained, pounded & husked) 2 cups.
  • Rice, White, Short-grain, Raw, Plain Rice 2 tbsp.
  • Chickpeas, Garbanzo Beans, Bengalgram, Mature Seeds, Raw, Channa, Kabuli Chana Dal, Chana Dal, Gram Dhal Chana dal 2 tbsp.
  • Masoor Dal, Dhal, Red, Brown Lentils Masoor dal 2 tbsp
  • Pigeon Peas, Raw, Tuvar, Toor Dhal, Toor Dal, Red gram dhal Toor dal 2 tbsp
  • Mung Beans, Mature Seeds, Raw, Yellow, Moong, Dal, Dhal Moong dal 2 tbsp
  • Coriander Leaf Corriander, Cilantro Leaves, Green, Leaves, Parsley Leaves, Coriander Coriander leaves (chopped A handful)
  • Garam Masala Powder, NITU DIDIs garam masala powder Garam masala 2 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder, Paprika, Deggi Mirch, Red Chilli Powder, Red Chilly, Red Ch Chili powder 2 tsp
  • Mint Leaves, Peppermint, Fresh, Mint (chopped A handful )
  • Ghee, Ghee 5 tbsp.
  • Onions, Raw, Onion Onions, (sliced fine and fried crisp) 2 nos.
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt Salt To taste

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • Wash all the dals, rice and soak before draining
  • Then pressure cook till tender and set aside
  • Apply ginger-garlic paste to the mutton, add 1 1/2 cup water and pressure cook till tender and remove
  • Add 2 tsps. oil to the wheat along with 2 cups water and pressure cook till tender
  • Mix mutton, wheat and dal and blend well, adding salt to taste, chili powder, garam masala, fried onions, chopped pudina and coriander
  • Simmer over slow flame and then pour hot ghee over the mutton
  • Serve hot garnished with lemon slices.

Cook's Tip:
Use kitchen scissors To chop fresh mint, chilies and coriander finely and without any mess.
