  • 300 Grams Raw Jack fruit

  • Basmati Rice, Basmathi Rice 300 Grams Basmati Rice(2 Cups Rice)
  • Chakra Phool Star Anise, 1 Star Anise
  • Cloves, Ground, Clove, Lavang 3 Cloves
  • Cinnamon, Ground, Cinamon, Dalchini, Cinnamon Powder, Cinnamon Sticks 2 (Inch Stick) Cinnamon
  • Cardamom Powder, Cardamom Pd, Choti Elaichi, Cardamom, Cardamon, Elachi 3 Cardamoms
  • Cardamom Powder, Cardamom Pd, Choti Elaichi, Cardamom, Cardamon, Elachi 1( Black) Cardamom
  • Bay Leaf, Tej Patta 1 Bay-leaf
  • Coriander Leaf Corriander, Cilantro Leaves, Green, Leaves, Parsley Leaves, Coriander (Fist Full Fresh Mint and) Coriander (Chopped)
  • Yogurt, Plain, Low Fat, Curd, yoghurt 1 Cup Yogurt (Plain yogurt)
  • Onions, Raw, Onion 2.5( Large) Onions
  • Red Chili Powder, Paprika, Deggi Mirch, Red Chilli Powder, Red Chilly, Red Ch 2 Tbsp Chili Powder
  • Turmeric, Ground,powder, Haldi, Nitu Didi turmeric powder 1/2 Tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • Dhania Powder , Coriander Powder, Corriander Powder, NITU DIDIS CORIANDER POWDER, Coriander Pd 1 Tbsp( Dhania)Coriander Powder
  • Ghee, 1 Tbsp Ghee
  • Milk, Producer, Warm, hot 1/2 Cup Milk
  • Ghee, 1 Tbsp Ghee
  • Ginger Paste, Puree, 1 Tbsp Ginger Paste
  • Ginger Garlic Paste, 1 Tbsp Garlic Paste
  • Canola Oil, Vegetable Oil, Cooking Oil as required
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt Salt as per taste.

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • Peel, wash and slice the onions.
  • Use a very sharp knife and apply oil to your hands, knife and chopping board before chopping the jack fruit.
  • Chop the jack fruit into 3 portions remove the outer skin and also remove the center stem use only the vegetable.
  • After chopping the vegetable into bite size cubes place in a bowl of water this will avoid the vegetable from discoloration. Place a wok on medium flame add 2 to 3 cups oil.
  • Once the oil reaches smoking point drain one small batch of jack fruit place on tissue paper or kitchen towel to remove excess water.
  • Gently drop the pieces of vegetable in hot oil and fry till light golden brown in color fry the entire batch of vegetable and reserve on a tissue paper to remove excess oil.
  • Using the same oil fry the entire batch of onions, once the onions turn light brown in color drain and reserve on a tissue paper.

Cook's Tip:
Rinse the pan with cold water before scalding milk to prevent sticking.

While cooking cabbage, add a bay leaf. This will reduce the smell during cooking and also give a subtle flavor.
