Ginger Chicken is a popular side dish served normally by street food hawkers or at fast food joints, tastes excellent as it is or normally served with wok fried noodles, fried rice and biryani.

Ingredients:
  • Chicken, Meat And Skin And Giblets And Neck, Raw, Boneless Chicken 500 Grams (Skinless, Boneless Thighs) Chicken
  • Peppers, Sweet, Green, Raw, Capsicum, Bell Pepper 1( Large) Bell Pepper (Capsicum)
  • Green Chillies, Chilies, Hot Chili, Green, Raw, Chilli, Chilly 3 Green Chilies
  • Onions, Raw, Onion 1 (Large) Onion
  • Red Chili Powder, Paprika, Deggi Mirch, Red Chilli Powder, Red Chilly, Red Ch 1.5 Tbsp Chili Powder
  • Garam Masala Powder, NITU DIDIs garam masala powder 1 Tbsp Garam Masala
  • Turmeric, Ground,powder, Haldi, Nitu Didi turmeric powder 1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Garlic, Raw, Garlic flakes, Lahsun, grated garlic, Garlic pods 10 (Pods) Garlic
  • Ginger Root, Raw, Fresh Ginger 2 (Inch) Ginger
  • Ginger Garlic Paste, 1.5 Tbsp Ginger and Garlic Paste
  • Soya Sauce, Soy, 1 Tbsp Soya Sauce
  • Sirka Vinegar, White Vinegar, Vinegar 1 Tbsp Vinegar
  • Corn Flour, Maize Flour, Whole-grain, White, Cornflour 2 Tbsp Corn Flour
  • Plain Flour, Maida, Refined flour 1/3 Cup Maida (all purpose Flour)
  • Egg, Whole, Raw, Anda 1 Egg
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt Salt as per taste
  • Canola Oil, Vegetable Oil, Cooking Oil (for frying)

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • Wash the chicken thoroughly, drain excess water using a colander.
  • Add the chicken to a mixing bowl, add egg, garam masala, chilly powder, turmeric, salt and ginger, garlic paste mix well allow to marinate for 1 hour.
  • Using a motar and pestle crush the garlic and ginger reserve.
  • Once the chicken has marinated add maida and corn flour mix well add salt if needed. Heat 2 cups oil in a wok for frying.
  • Gently drop the chicken pieces in hot oil and fry on medium flame, keep turning the chicken pieces every 30 seconds fry for 2 minute or until the outer crust turns golden brown drain the fried chicken from oil and reserve on tissue paper.
  • Heat 3 Tbsp ghee or oil in a wok fry the crushed ginger and garlic for a minute on low flame.
  • Add dried red chilies and fry for a second this adds flavor to this dish.
  • Add cubed onions, chilies and bell pepper (capsicum) toss and fry for a minute.
  • Add salt and pepper as per taste followed by soya sauce and vinegar fry the onion for 30 seconds.
  • Add 3 to 4 tbsp water and cook the onion till it softens a bit place on high heat and allow the moisture to evaporate.
  • Add the fried chicken to the onion masala stir until all ingredients are well combined serve hot...Enjoy 😋

Cook's Tip:
Want to store ginger for more than weeks.. then follow this tip.. Slice the ginger and put in a vessel add water and keep it in refrigerator.. For every two days once change the water alone.. you can see ginger keeping fresh for more than two weeks..

To see if an egg is still fresh, put it into a glass bowl of water with a little salt. If the egg sinks, it is good. If it floats, it should not be used.

If you cook Indian food, you are bound to get turmeric stains on your clothes at one time or another. The good news is they're really easy to take out. Wash the stained clothes/kitchen linen immedeately in cool water and soap. Dry in the sun and the stain will fade to a very pale pink. Wash the article again and the stain will be gone!
