Servings: 6 Preparation time:
Ingredients:
  • Fish, Mackerel, King, Raw, King fish – 1 kg (or any other fish)
  • Rice, White, Short-grain, Raw, Plain Rice – ½ kg
  • For marination:
  • Ginger Garlic Paste, Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric, Ground,powder, Haldi, Nitu Didi turmeric powder Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Lemons, Raw, With Peel, Lime, Lemon (Juice of ) 1/2 lemon
  • Red Chili Powder, Paprika, Deggi Mirch, Red Chilli Powder, Red Chilly, Red Ch Red chili powder
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt salt (as per taste)
  • For the masala:
  • Onions, Raw, Onion 6 (to 7 medium sized ) onions (fried)
  • Ginger Garlic Paste, Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Biryani Masala, Biryani masala – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric, Ground,powder, Haldi, Nitu Didi turmeric powder Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Green Chillies, Chilies, Hot Chili, Green, Raw, Chilli, Chilly Green chilli – 3
  • Tomato Puree, Tomato puree – 2 tbsp (or 2 to 3 tomatoes)
  • Yogurt, Plain, Low Fat, Curd, yoghurt Yogurt – 1 cup
  • Cumin Powder, Jeera Powder,  NITU DIDIs cumin powder (Roasted ) cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Dhania Powder , Coriander Powder, Corriander Powder, NITU DIDIS CORIANDER POWDER, Coriander Pd Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder, NITU DIDIs garam masala powder Garam masala – ½ tsp
  • Red Chili Powder, Paprika, Deggi Mirch, Red Chilli Powder, Red Chilly, Red Ch Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt Salt as per taste
  • Coriander Leaf Corriander, Cilantro Leaves, Green, Leaves, Parsley Leaves, Coriander (Few) coriander leaves
  • For making rice:
  • Cloves, Ground, Clove, Lavang 2 (to 3) cloves
  • Cinnamon, Ground, Cinamon, Dalchini, Cinnamon Powder, Cinnamon Sticks 1 (small) cinnamon
  • Cumin Seed, Shahi Jeera, Nitu Didi cumin seed Cumin seed – 1 tsp
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt Salt as per taste
  • food color:
  • Ghee, ghee (butter)

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • First marinate the fish with ingredients given.
  • Leave it aside for half an hour.
  • Fry the fish and keep aside.
  • Soak rice in water for half an hour and the cook it along with the ingredients given till 80% done.
  • Fry the onions till golden brown in color and then make a masala except ginger garlic paste with all the ingredients given. Leave little onions for garnishing.
  • In the same oil first add ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes and then add all the masala and cook for few minutes till oil separates from the masala.
  • Add cooked rice to it . Level it properly. Place fried fish on top along with coriander leaves, food color, fried onions and a spoon of ghee/ butter. Cover it and let it simmer on a low flame till rice is fully cooked. Serve hot.
