Servings: 3 Preparation time:
  • Chicken, Dark Meat, Meat Only, Raw, Breast Chicken 400g (boneless) chicken breast ( cut into thin strips)
  • 2tbsp gram flour
  • Kali Mirch Black Peppercorn, Milagu,kurumulaku, peppers 1 tsp black pepper
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt 1 tsp salt
  • Red Chili Flakes, Chilli 1/4 tsp red chilli flakes
  • Eggnog, Egg Nog Egg (white from) 1 egg
  • Sunflower Oil, Cooking Oil Refined, Sunflower Oil, Linoleic, Hydrogenated Oil 4 tbsp sunflower oil (for frying)
  • Garlic, Raw, Garlic flakes, Lahsun, grated garlic, Garlic pods 3 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • Ginger Root, Raw, Fresh Ginger 1 piece (3” ) ginger, (finely chopped)
  • 2 birds (eye) green chillis, (finely chopped)
  • Tomato Puree, 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • Onions, Raw, Onion 1 (medium) onion, (diced into 2” chunks)
  • Spring Onions, Green, (3 stems )spring onion, (cut into 1” chunks)
  • Peppers, Sweet, Green, Raw, Capsicum, Bell Pepper 1 (small) capsicum, (cut into 2” chunks)
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt ½ tsp salt
  • Red Chili Powder, Paprika, Deggi Mirch, Red Chilli Powder, Red Chilly, Red Ch ½ tsp paprika
  • Dhania Powder , Coriander Powder, Corriander Powder, NITU DIDIS CORIANDER POWDER, Coriander Pd ½ tsp coriander powder
  • Amchur Powder, Mango Pd, Mango Powder, Amchoor Powder,dry Mango Powder, Man 1 tsp amchur
  • Garam Masala Powder, NITU DIDIs garam masala powder 1 tsp garam masala
  • Coriander Leaf Corriander, Cilantro Leaves, Green, Leaves, Parsley Leaves, Coriander (Handful) coriander, (finely chopped)
  • Mint Leaves, Peppermint, Fresh, (Small handful fresh) mint leaves, (roughly chopped)

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • Place chicken in a bowl. Add the gram flour, pepper, salt, red chilli flakes and egg white. Mix well.
  • Heat oil in a wide non-stick pan. Place chicken in the oil and cook for 3-4 minutes until it is white and slightly golden in colour on both sides. Remove from pan and keep aside.
  • Using the same pan and oil, reduce the heat to low/medium. Now add the ginger, garlic and chilli. Sauté for a couple of minutes. Now add the tomato puree and mix well.
  • Add the onions and sauté for 1 minute. Now add the spring onions and capsicum and mix. Add the chicken. At this point, add salt, paprika, garam masala, amchur. Mix well. Add the fresh mint and coriander.
  • Check for salt and adjust accordingly. Remove from heat.

Cook's Tip:
If you drop an egg on the floor, cover it with salt and let it remain like this for a couple of minutes. You will be able to easily clean the mess with a paper towel.
To prevent formation of ice, rub table salt to the insides of your freezer.
To store mint leafs, take little bit of oil in pan and fry mint leafs for few u can store it long time..

    great recipe! I didn't have some of the ingredients, so I substituted as follows : In place of graham flour, I used a mixture of all purpose flour and cornmeal. In place of mango powder I used fresh lemon juice. Also, I was out of ground coriander, so I chopped up some coriander seeds. It turned out much like the picture, and very delicious. Please note that this dish does not have sauce, but it is very good with sour cream.
