Servings: 6 Preparation time:
  • Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Unenriched, Atta 2 cups All purpose flour
  • Egg, Whole, Raw, Anda 4 (Large )eggs
  • Brown Sugar, 2 tbsp Sugar
  • Salt, Common Salt, Rock Salt, Table Salt 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp (Cognac/Rum)Brandy (i skipped it)
  • 2tsp Lemon zest
  • Milk, Producer, Warm, hot 1/2 kg Milk
  • Butter, Butter (or oil for cooking)

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • Beat the eggs with a beater, add sugar to it and beat until they turns light.
  • Add the liqueur (if using), milk, salt and lemon peel and continue to beat the mixture.
  • Add the flour and beat well, take care while beating until no lumps forms.
  • Let the batter rest for an hour.
  • Using a paper towel, grease the pan with oil or butter.
  • Austrias Style Crepes, Frisuelos
  • Pour a small amount of batter and spread it well, cook in medium flame and cook on both sides.
  • Once the frisuelos is cooked, put it on a plate and sprinkle sugar on top.
  • Layer the frisuelos on top of one another until you finish with the batter.
  • Enjoy with your favourite spread.

Cook's Tip:
When you are cooking in butter, to avoid it from burning always add oiil little to it.
Don't throw away cracked eggs(if they're fresh) Instead, wrap them in aluminium foil and boil as usual.
If your recipe has come out too salt (salty), try adding a little cider vinegar, ½ tsp at a time, to curb the taste
