Ingredients:
  • Kamut, Uncooked, Wheat 1 cup wheat (broken)
  • Coconut Milk Thick, 1 cup coconut milk (thick)
  • Coconut Milk Thick, 1 cup coconut milk (thin)
  • Water Boiled Plain Raw Mineral, Hot, Warm Cold, Mix, sparkling, Carbonated 4 cups of water
  • Gur, Jaggery, Soft, Powder 1 cup jaggery (Gur)
  • Ghee, 3tbsp ghee
  • Cardamom Powder, Cardamom Pd, Choti Elaichi, Cardamom, Cardamon, Elachi 1tsp cardamom (crushed)
  • Cashew Nuts Dry Roasted, Without Salt Added, Kaju, Fried 1tbsp cashew nuts
  • 1bsp raisins

Instructions (Preparation Steps):

  • First boil the broken wheat with water in pressure cooker
  • Boil them till 6-7 whistles
  • It is ready now
  • Now add the jaggery and thin coconut milk
  • Put 1tsp of ghee and stir them well to melt the jaggery
  • Now add the crushed cardamom
  • Pour the thick coconut milk
  • Cook them for some time till the gravy become little bit thicker
  • Now pour the mixture in a bowl
  • Take another deep fry pan on over and take 2tbsp of ghee
  • Now add the cashew nuts and raisins
  • When the color of the cashew nuts is change it is ready
  • Now add the cashew nuts and raisins with the payasam

Cook's Tip:
To prevent ants from attacking nuts, place a black peppercorn in the container.

Use non-stick utensils. Use thick bottom utensils. They get uniformly heated. For electric stoves, use flat bottom utensils.

Always warm dry spices like cumin seeds, cardamom, cloves, etc. on a griddle before powdering. They will grind faster and the powder will be finer.

Are u fed up of bad smell in entire house, while preparing ghee. Then just store the butter or malai(cream) , from which u prepare ghee, in freezer... This will not produce bad smell whlie heating butter or malai.
